Transition to ACE: Filers Urged to Start Testing
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has started issuing CSMS (Cargo Systems Messaging Service) messages to help the trade community prepare for the Nov. 1 deadline for mandatory filing of all electronic entries and corresponding entry summaries in the ACE (Automated Commercial Environment).
Here is message from 5/22/2015:
On May 20th, the majority of all code needed for the November 1, 2015 mandatory date was deployed to the Certification environment for testing by all trade filers. (See specifics on attachment.) CBP strongly recommends trade filers work with their Client Reps to test new and existing entry and entry summary capabilities (including entry/entry summary types 01, 03, and 11) via the Certification environment to ensure they are ready well in advance of the November 1, 2015 mandatory date. Implementation Guides for the capabilities listed on the following pages are posted to CBP.gov/ACE.
