A Californian man, Armin Shir Mohammadi was convicted of violating the IEEPA [International Emergency Economic Powers Act]. Mohammadi knowingly and willingly conspired to export and cause the exportation, sale, and supply of satellite communication equipment, navigation equipment, and other related goods with the knowledge that such goods were intended for supply, transshipment and reexportation to Iran without receiving the required authorization. Mohammadi was sentenced to 1 year and 1 day in prison.

BIS [Bureau of Industry & Security] received notice of Mohammadi’s conviction of IEEPA. Based on the Regulations [EAR], BIS has denied Mohammadi export privileges for 10 years from the date of conviction and had revoked all licenses.
