This increase in flights also means that airlines will now need to maximize the space on those air crafts by selling more air freight cargo to fill the plane.<\/p>\n<p>Airlines will do this in a number of ways, but mainly for the logistics world this means low, low summer rates.\u00a0 So far this summer it seems the cheaper prices have not caught on to the logistics world per the numbers released by IATA for April and now May too.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released figures for global air cargo markets showing that growth has continued to flatline in May, broadly following the trend of the last 18 months.<\/p>\n<p>Global freight tonne kilometers increased just 0.8% in May compared to a year ago. Capacity, however, increased by 2.1% causing load factors to fall to 44.9% &#8211; their lowest level since the post crisis recovery.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iata.org\/pressroom\/pr\/Pages\/2013-07-02-01.aspx\">Read more on IATA.org<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Superior Freight Services,\u00a0 Inc. has been able to save our customers up to 50% on certain lanes and routings.<\/p>\n<p>So be sure to take advantage of these great summer air freight rates, and you could be looking like gold to your customer when you save them money and get their freight to them quicker.<\/p>\n<p>Questions?
