AES Filing: Planning for Downtime\"aeslogo[1]\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The\u00a0AES Downtime Policy<\/a> applies only when either the AES or AESDirect <\/em><\/a>is not operational. It is important that if you\u00a0use commercial software or in-house software and it becomes inoperative, you must find another way to report in EEI<\/a> to stay in compliance. If using other software,\u00a0 you should consider that\u00a0several companies that\u00a0use commercial or in-house software also instituted\u00a0AESDirect<\/em><\/a> accounts as backup if their primary systems are not available.<\/p>\n

From Global Reach<\/a>:<\/p>\n

You\u00a0can use the same Employer Identification Number (EIN) to register forAESDirect<\/em><\/a><\/em>. As a certified AESDirect<\/em><\/a> <\/em>filer, you can also download the AESPcLink<\/em> software and use the same filer id<\/a> and password.<\/p>\n

In other words, you have the ability to access more than one account per EIN:<\/p>\n

  1. Your commercial software or in-house programming account<\/li>\n
  2. Your AESDirect<\/em><\/a>\/AESPcLink<\/em> account<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To use commercial or in-house programmed software, you must file a Letter of Intent<\/strong><\/a>.
