The ILWU\u00a0met over the weekend and returned the proposal to the PMA with the union\u2019s comments. The ILWU caucus\u00a0began Monday morning and\u00a0reviewed the proposal\u00a0and is awaiting the PMA\u2019s response.<\/p>\n<p>The PMA confirmed that the employers presented the union with their offer on Thursday. Then the ILWU today responded with its counter proposals. The PMA is considering the union\u2019s response and expects to get back together with the ILWU later this week.<\/p>\n<p>The ILWU caucus\u00a0 is waiting for a response from the PMA that hopefully will result in an eventual settlement. The caucus will review the PMA\u2019s response to the ILWU\u2019s comments and then\u00a0make recommendations to the ILWU negotiating team.
