{"id":3687,"date":"2015-04-15T15:29:42","date_gmt":"2015-04-15T20:29:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/supfrt.com\/news\/?p=3687"},"modified":"2015-04-15T15:29:42","modified_gmt":"2015-04-15T20:29:42","slug":"as-a-result-of-export-control-reform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/supfrt.com\/news\/2015\/04\/15\/as-a-result-of-export-control-reform\/","title":{"rendered":"As a result of Export Control Reform&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/supfrt.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/ECR.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3450\" src=\"http:\/\/supfrt.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/ECR.jpg\" alt=\"ECR\" width=\"257\" height=\"118\" \/><\/a>As a result of Export Control Reform&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of Defense Trade Controls Licensing (DTCL) will be reorganized into four operational divisions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Space, Missile and Sensor Systems<\/li>\n<li>Electronic and Training Systems<\/li>\n<li>Sea, Land and Air Systems<\/li>\n<li>Light Weapons and Personal Protective Equipment Systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the Plans, Personnel, Programs and Procedures division will consolidate many of the functions previously included\u00a0as well as those that were distributed across other parts of DTCL.<\/p>\n<p>State Department has announced that effective date for these changes is April 20.<\/p>\n<p>The reason is\u00a0that export control reform has caused a 36 percent drop in licensing volume and created a disparity in the volume of cases among the current divisions. In addition, since 2013 DTCL has experienced some downsizing through attrition.
