{"id":3952,"date":"2015-08-20T15:24:22","date_gmt":"2015-08-20T20:24:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/supfrt.com\/news\/?p=3952"},"modified":"2015-08-20T15:24:22","modified_gmt":"2015-08-20T20:24:22","slug":"usppi-responsibilities-checklist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/supfrt.com\/news\/2015\/08\/20\/usppi-responsibilities-checklist\/","title":{"rendered":"USPPI Responsibilities &#8211; Checklist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/supfrt.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/USPPI-CROPPED-e1401920348776.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2775\" src=\"http:\/\/supfrt.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/USPPI-CROPPED-300x93.jpg\" alt=\"USPPI - CROPPED\" width=\"300\" height=\"93\" \/><\/a>USPPI Responsibilities &#8211; Checklist<\/p>\n<p>Here is a checklist that will assist as a tool for establishing procedures and collecting information to ensure that your organization complies with all FTR\u2019s and other government regulations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Did I check to see if any of the\u00a0goods have the proper licenses?\n<ul>\n<li>Are any products on the U.S. Munitions List (USML)?\n<ul>\n<li>If yes, does this shipment qualify for an ITAR Exemption?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Is a BIS (Dept. of Commerce) License needed?\n<ul>\n<li>If so, does the shipment qualify for an EAR License Exception?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Did I check if my products subject to the EAR?\n<ul>\n<li>Are my products on the Commerce Control List (CCL)?<\/li>\n<li>Do General Prohibitions 4-10 apply?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Did I check if I am shipping to a destination of concern?\n<ul>\n<li>Verified the ultimate destination is not a sanctioned country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Did I check the Consignees name against the Government\u2019s Restricted Partied List?<\/li>\n<li>Do I have the correct and complete HTS or Schedule B commodity code?\n<ul>\n<li>Verified that the classification code properly identifies the commodity being shipped?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Is there any indication of Restrictive Trade Practices or Boycott Language?<\/li>\n<li>If you are filing as USPPI, did you:\n<ul>\n<li>Confirm an ITN was received for each shipment submitted?<\/li>\n<li>Promptly corrected all fatal errors?<\/li>\n<li>Determined the filing deadline?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you (as the USPPI) are filing with a freight forwarder, did you provide all information they need to file on your behalf?\n<ul>\n<li>Name and address of USPPI<\/li>\n<li>USPPI Tax ID Number (EIN or DUNS)<\/li>\n<li>Point of Origin<\/li>\n<li>Schedule B (or USHTS) number<\/li>\n<li>Schedule B \/ USHTS Quantity and Unit of Measure<\/li>\n<li>Commercial\/Generic Commodity code description<\/li>\n<li>Value (at the port of export) by the Schedule B \/ USHTS<\/li>\n<li>Domestic (D) or Foreign (F) Indicator<\/li>\n<li>Ultimate Consignee Type:\n<ol>\n<li>Direct Consumer<\/li>\n<li>Government Entity<\/li>\n<li>Reseller<\/li>\n<li>Other\/Unknown<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>ECCN (or EAR99 if not listed in CCL)<\/li>\n<li>NLR, EAR License Exception Code, ITAR Exemption<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Read more at<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbfaa.org\/Scripts\/4Disapi.dll\/userfiles\/uploads\/USPPIExportResponsibilityInfoSheet_61.pdf\"> NCBFAA USPPI checklist<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/aesdirect.census.gov\/download\/userguide\/AESComplianceBestPracticemanual-201310.doc\">AES Compliance Manual (page 33)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>USPPI Responsibilities &#8211; Checklist Here is a checklist that will assist as a tool for establishing procedures and collecting information to ensure that your organization complies with all FTR\u2019s and other government regulations: Did I check to see if any of the\u00a0goods have the proper licenses?
