\"\"<\/a>Antiboycott Violations: Carrier Saudi Services Company Ltd charged with 4 counts<\/p>\n

The Office of Antiboycott Compliance, Bureau of Industry and Security, United States\u00a0Department of Commerce (“BIS”), has determined to initiate proceedings against Carrier Saudi Services\u00a0Company Ltd. (“CSSC”), a controlled-in-fact foreign affiliate (Saudi Arabia) of Carrier Corporation, a domestic\u00a0concern, based on allegations set forth that\u00a0CSSC committed four violations of the Regulations.<\/p>\n

Specifically the charges are:
\n1. Two Violations of 15 C.F.R. \u00a7760.2(a) – Refusal to do Business
\n2. Two Violations of 15 C.F.R. \u00a7760.5 – Failing to Report the Receipt of a Request to\u00a0Engage in a Restrictive Trade Practice or Foreign Boycott Against a Country Friendly to\u00a0the United States<\/p>\n

The Settlement Agreement (in part):<\/p>\n

BIS will impose a civil penalty in the amount of $12,000. CSSC will pay\u00a0to the U.S. Department of Commerce, within 30 days from the date of entry\u00a0of the Order. and in accordance with the terms of the Order, when entered,\u00a0the amount of $12,000 in complete settlement of all matters set forth in the\u00a0Proposed Charging Letter.<\/p>\n
