CBP (Customs & Border Protection) received $30M in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 appropriation for enabling ACE enhancements.<\/p>\n

FY 2018 ACE enhancement funding will be used for the following (refer to this link<\/a> for additional details):
\n\u2022 Section 321\/Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act enabling automation
\n\u2022 Electronic CBP Form 5106
\n\u2022 Modernizing Foreign Trade Zone (e214) process in ACE
\n\u2022 Creation of Unique Identifiers for Centers of Excellence and Expertise
\n\u2022 Transitioning to Broker National Permit
\n\u2022 Modernizing vessel management, via Vessel Agent Account Type
\n\u2022 Streamlining and modernizing truck processing, via a non-intrusive inspection program
\n\u2022 Updating Generalized System of Preferences (GSP)
\n\u2022 Manifest update to include shipper phone number
\n\u2022 Electronic vessel manifest confidentiality request<\/p>\n
