Updated HTS and Schedule B Codes for 2013

Here are a few highlights about the changes for 2013:

 

Changes to HTS for Importing Purposes

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has updated the list of valid HTS codes for 2013 that were effective as January 1, 2013.

• Changes to the U.S. HTS as of January 1, 2013

 

Changes to HTS and Schedule B for Exports (AES submissions)

The AESDirect system has been updated with the correct Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) and Schedule B export codes for 2013. Exporters have a period of 30 days from December 31, 2012, to correct the codes, as applicable.

• Current 2013 HTS and Schedule B tables

• Visit this link for a current list of HTS codes which are no longer valid for AES.
• AESPcLink users must update their AESDirect code tables to reflect the 2013 changes. You have until January 31, 2013, to make these updates.
• AESDirect users who file via the website (www.aesdirect.gov) will have their code table updated automatically.
