Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals made history when they handled the largest single flight shipment of horses ever. A total of 63 show jump horses were shipped using Lufthansa Cargo‘s B747 chartered freighter.
“On arrival in Hong Kong, the horses were unloaded from the aircraft and transferred to Hactl’s livestock handling center. The horses were transferred in their air stalls to the center on a gently sloping ramp, which is essential to prevent leg injuries, onto air-conditioned horse boxes arranged by Hong Kong Jockey Club.”

This is an amazing accomplishment for all parties involved, congratulations to Lufthansa Cargo and HACTL!!! If you ask me, shipping the horses on the same flight evens the playing field. They all will be experiencing the same jet lag.
