Exporting & Restricted Party Screening

April 15, 2013 by Karen Edwards Leave a Comment

denied-parties-database[1]Did you know that no matter who you are, where you are located, and what you are exporting, the United States government prohibits you from exporting or re-exporting to certain people, companies, organizations, countries and for certain end-uses?

In the United States, exporters must make sure they aren’t shipping to anyone on several government lists of restricted parties or risk violating the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Failure to comply, whether deliberately or through lack of a solid export compliance and a restricted party screening program, can result in criminal and/or civil prosecution, fines, and denial of export privileges.

Does your export compliance program have a restricted party screening plan that includes checking the applicable government lists?

Superior Freight Services can assist. Here at Superior Freight we offer Denied/Restricted Party Database access for our customers via our website. Check out: Denied Parties Database.  If interested in getting more information, please contact me at kedwards@supfrt.com
