Ohio Company Fined $250K for Export Violations
BIS (Bureau of Industry & Security) entered into a settlement with Worthington Products Inc. (WPI) and Paul Meeks of Ohio for alleged violation of Conspiracy to Export Items from the United States to the Government of Iran without the Required License.
In addition to the fine of $250,000, WPI and Meeks must attend Export Control Training annually for the next 5 years. In addition, they may not export for the next 5 years (loss of export privileges).
