8 years – Export Privileges Denied for Terand/Anders
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) issued an order suspending for eight years the export privileges of a company, Terand, Inc., and and its president, Walter Anders. They are charged with causing and/or aiding the export of U.S.-origin T300 carbon fiber to Singapore without the required license. This product is controlled under the Export Administration Regulations for nuclear proliferation reasons. These entities falsely acted as the U.S. exporter of record on behalf of a company whose export license had been revoked based on concerns regarding the recipients.
The order is valid until Aug. 2024 and neither these entities (Terand, Inc or Anders) nor anyone on their behalf may directly or indirectly participate in any way in any transaction involving any commodity, software or technology exported or to be exported from the U.S. that is subject to the Export Administration Regulations.
