In December 2016, the Office of Antiboycott Compliance, issued a Warning Letter to Military Professional Resources, Inc. (MPRI) for reasons to believe that they violated EAR -for failing to notify the BIS (Bureau of Industry & Security) of their receipt of a request to engage in a restrictive trade practice or boycott, as required by the regulations.
Specifically on or about December 28, 2011 and February 19, 2014, they received letters from Central Bank of Kuwait to refrain from shipping goods from a boycotted country:
Importation of goods from Israel is strictly prohibited by Kuwait Import Regulations. Therefore, Certificates of Origin covering goods originated from the said countries are not acceptable.
Note that this warning letter only pertains to the two instances mentioned above. Other violations of the Regulations may result in proceedings against MPRI which could result in civil penalties and/or other sanctions.
