The Bureau Of Industry & Security (BIS) advises that Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation engaged in prohibitive conduct on 25 occasions between April 2012 and May 2014. They exported thermal inaging cameras from the USA to various countries including, Hong Kong, Columbia, Ecuador, El Salvador, and Mexico without the required Department of Commerce export licenses. The items are classified under Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) 6A003.b.4. and required an export license. They are controlled for national security reasons.

The settlement agreement included a civil penalty in the $310,000 and a 2 year probationary period.
