Exporters: SNAP-R Enhancements / Updates

What is SNAP-R?

SNAP-R allows users to submit export license applications, commodity classification requests, reexport license applications, and license exception AGR notifications via the Internet. You must have a Company Identification Number (CIN) and an active user account to access SNAP‑R. To find out the procedures and requirements for obtaining a CIN and user account  and more click here

BIS (Bureau of Industry and Security) is pleased to introduce the first in a series of updates to the Single Network Application Process – Redesign (SNAP-R), BIS’s electronic system for the submission of license applications, commodity classification requests, License Exception AGR notifications and License Exception STA eligibility requests. These updates, which BIS is implementing at industry’s request, are designed to make SNAP-R more user-friendly and efficient. Additional updates will be implemented in the future. This batch of updates includes the following:

  • Security Questions
  • Resetting Forgotten Passwords
  • Forgotten Login ID
  • Forgotten CIN
  • Work Item Reference Numbers
  • Line Item Value Calculation
